Mummy's Day~

Stuff I did for Mummy's day.. lol.. its a rare occasion.. cos previous years of attempt to celebrate with mum comes with a "no thanks" from mum saying I'm wasting $$, or I'm not around... etc....

these are sea salts+lemon+Burt bee's body oil... ^^

I subscribed to Martha Stewart's Craft, and they emailed me ideas to make home made gifts for mom... and I decided to give the bath salt body scrub a try.. heheh...

salt = RM2 (large pack, I only used a little)

lemon= RM1

Burt Bee's Oil = RM55 for 115ml, but I only used like 15ml... the rest can be my moisturiser or body massage oil... ;)  

added in lemon peel and juice for the fragrance and color.

pour in to the jar I got from jusco for RM7.90 (before 15% discount)

tadaaa!!! =D

I know if I buy gift for mum, she'll nag me for wasting $, and going for fancy eateries also gets another no thank you... cos some how mummy never believe in celebrating lavishly.. lol.. and I'm jobless right now to not be able to do it lavishly~ hehehe...

So Mei and me decided to make things homemade this year..

I made a card too... =P

Yes, I have time to make another card too ;) I came upon this idea from the internet, but I forgot where.. so there.. I'm not original.. just in case the "designer" of this card did see my post, here, I said thank you for your inspiration =P

I made the pot's pattern with one of the templates I bought from paper wishes, and sponge in my pink ink.. then I drew borders with brown ink pen around the sponged pattern (cos I feel pink is not that visible from the yellow card)

The flowers are thick precut cardboard flowers I bought from Target in Atlanta (yes I still remember) its a large pack with many many different card flowers... Well.. kinda out dated now, cos I bought and kept it so long, hoarding it not willing to use cos just-in-case-i-finish-it-and-cant-buy-them-again-anymore wtf but now I have to make more use of them and be done with it.. -__-"

And the flowers were a bit tad boring, so I stick on layers with smaller flowers, added rhinestone and tried to glitter them with the popular glitter glue I bought (no idea if its acid free or not)

I stamped the message with my new acyclic alphabet stamps, and some flowers and butterflies rubber stamps from popular also..lol.. I pretty much got a few rubber stamps from popular earlier, cos I thought stamps in scrap booking store is too expensive... T_T but then now I pretty much own a load of them... =P temptations...

Mummy's breakfast... ^^

Yes, Mei and me got up as early as 7.30am this morning to fry some heart shaped eggs and hot dogs.. I cut the cucumbers and gardenia bread to heart shape too... hehehehe...

Well.. its a successful idea for mummy who always "no thanks" us... lol! She was.... "touched" (cos I don't know is it a sincere one or not.. she looked fake doing the "touched" look.. LOL!!)

hehe.. I saw it in youtube once.. and I saw it from anonline store.. I got it... >.<  for RM39.9... a bit ugly though.. I already colored the pink cat eyes to black.. and later might "alter" it my way.. hehehe.. It was pretty fun earlier, trying to put in 50cents coins.. But the box couldn't fit much coins.. kinda full ady.. =( 

oh well.. time to sleep! I woke up too early~!

Yeap.. i have to compile 15 days worth of photos to blog. Cos total of photos i took is just so little.. lazy to hold the camera and click it i guess... lol!!

So so.. I was once again lucky enough to be at home on Chinese New Year, though I have once again missed the reunion dinner cos im on my way home that day. Hmm.. oh well!! At least im not missing any angpaus!! HAhahahA!!!

Let me show you my first day outfit:

The dress and belt are last minute shopping in Korea, cos believe it or not im so taboo (is it the right word?) when I receive a forwarded mail of what to wear for good fengshui on CNY (pink for me for first day) and I dont have any pink outfit, I went all the way downtown to get 1.. -___-

And later got comment from MOST EVERYBODY I look like a Korean girl -____-

I dont wanna be a Korean girl lookalike!! T___T

but... but I like their fashion!! :-/

I think she's the longest living family dog so far, cos before that any dog we have either were given away cos too naughty or being complained too noisy for barking at silly cockroaches or moving leaves by s**pid neighbours, or died of poison or sickness... hmmm...

And she's also the second most obedient dog (the other 1 died of poisoning at 4 months old but well trained...) cos she hardly barks at random moving stuff or jump at people or getting complains cos thank god we now know how to train her (kinda).. well sadly she only knows the command "sit"...

She's now 4 years old :)

nice eh? calf skin leather. I was so scared boyfriend wont like my present, so I bought something that even ME can use. hehehe.. It fits me u know!! :P

thats the reason I was so F***ing broke paying my credit card that month!! T______T (and oh my bank account wasnt fully recovered yet from that 2 purchases!!)

im a "qualified" cook after all... well of course mummy were helping and pointing beside me.. :P

And I continued my flight to the boring and uneventful incident in New York that I dont wanna talk about now.. to be back right on time for the last day of CNY where we get a dinner:

I dont know how to fly a kite.. so I HOLD a kite and pose for picture... :P

Penang!

Like sooooo long ago i've ever step foot on the grounds of George Town. Like 11 years ago? where I was only primary 5 and the journey that took 7 damn long hours with daddy's old car then..

Like I was ditched for 4 (FOUR) times with the family's holiday: Hanoi, Krabi, Cameron Highlands and Kuala Selangor... ok la, 3 times cos i dint wanna join the boring kuala selangor and choosed boyfriend instead :P

Anyway.. it happen when Daddy said he still have like 7 days of annual leave uncleared and asked for my suggestion. And I said Penang, cos we dint go there like so long ago and I also misses Fish, who went back there for 5 months ady. Yup, thats how long we dint see each other :(

Coincidently I got 4 days off, so we decided to go for a 3 days 2 nights trip.

First, a stop at Ipoh town for the famous Ipoh Taugeh Chicken Rice for lunch. YUMM!





We decided to eat in this shop, cos it's famous and there were so many people eating that we have to wait at other people's table for them to finish and leave. But looking at the crowd, its worth the wait compared to other empty shops. :) thats how Malaysian thinks, the more people in that shop surely there's something there better than the other shops. :P

Our lunch, with some noodle to match. Taugeh (bean sprouts) and White chicken in delicious sauce.

ok.. its just some soy sauce with sesame oil. or some combination like that.. but its delicious!

Brought me to this bar in Batu Feringhi where we sit on the chairs on the sandy beaches and have beer...

Then I ordered a shisha.. like so long we dint have 1 (I remember college weekend times we will go NZ mamak for RM10 shisha)

And we chat till morning.. how terrible 2 girls and a guy can finish up 2 buckets AND another jug of beer. Haha...

Its fun sitting there burying our naked feet into the cool sand and chat with the background of the waves... hmmm.. :)

Day 2

Watching tv, while waiting for others to be ready and go out. I slept for like 4 hours and a little hang over lor ok.


then we went to this famous old shop in Penang Road:

Then we walk around the old Komtar building (daddy insisted just to see how is it like after 11 years after his last trip) Then we went to the newer shopping mall, Queensbay mall for a lillte walk and return home.

3rd Day.

Had a breakfast date with Fish before she goes to work and me going back home. Had some Prawn noodle at the hawker stall nearby and talked and talked again~
