Mei Mei's 19th Bday...

Opps... it seems that I've neglected my blog again =/ And Im blogging Mei's birthday celebration like after a month? gosh.... =/

Well.. I have no reason why I dint blog.. probably blogging days are gone.. =/ I do take lots of pictures.. but then i couldn't be bothered to blog :(

Oh well, I brought Mei Mei to Italianies for a simple dinner.. She ordered a chicken, (signature dish there but as usual.. forgotten the name now) while I ordered thier signature beef (medium well done) and boyfriend ordered their signature salmon... :P

Actually, 3 dishes is kinda a lot for the 3 of us.. should have just ordered 2 dishes..

Dessert: Creme Brulee.. :P

Couldnt resist not ordering dessert.. but then I think its a lil different compared to the Creme brulee I had in Italianies The Curve?

Boyfriend's Birthday.

I know I know.. this is such a late entry!!

Boyfriend's birthday was 19 dec and I (kinda) took ONE YEAR to blog it out (birthday is 2008 - blog post is 2009 = ONE YEAR) lol!!

I brought boyfriend (kinda he drove) to The C.Club in Pavilion.

C Club is a brainchild of The Carat Club by the way... or so I read. hmm..

But the interior very nice lor. Classy restaurant with diamonds / crystal deco cos its Carat Club.

Im drinking Wyndham estate bin 333 pinot noir 25.

A friend once ask me to look for bin 555 but I never got to find it. Then I saw something similar here so we thought we should try. Its really smooth, not too strong, not too dry or sweet. I bet that 555 is a lot better. hmmm :)

ok fyi, I have no knowledge of the art of wine drinking. :P

My Honest to Goodness Apple & Summer Berry.

Starters: Pan seared scallop sandwiched with foie gras on pickled pumpkin, topped with onion marmelade.

fuh! the name damn long lor [I had a copy of the menu ;) ]

At a size of 4cm per scallop, we have to cut it to tinier pieces to eat them, not just put it all-in-one-go to the mouth cos this this cost me RM42. -___-

Next: Tasting platter of Raw and Live Oyster

I forgot the 3 different names of the Oyster, but hey they are alive!!!

Its written on the menu to check if the oyster is alive or not, squeeze some lemon to it.

So we did,

And we saw the side of the flesh of the oyster move, like trying to avoid the acidic lemon juice.

(>.<)

Then, we cruelly cut them into half and ate them alive. T____T

I felt guitly here :( I mean im not a vegetarian or anything, I love meat, much more seafood of the expensive kind alike, but normally the CHEF do the killing.. not me!!

But I still love Oyster very much and I will still eat them in the future. -________-

So soon that im bugging boyfriend to go Jogoya for the fresh Oyster when I was editing the pictures!! :P

I dunno why boyfriend can go all dreamy on his birthday celebration. haha.

Main:

Mine: Earl Grey Citrus Duck Breast,

served with carrot and celeriac braised savoy cabbage, earl grey orange glace and topped with shissho. (I dont know what shisho is.. *shruggs* maybe that bunch of greens on top?)

Boyfriend's: Grilled Pepper Sirlion,

served with roasted garlic mesh, sauteed spinach, sweet potato chips and Porcini gravy (I dont know what is Porcini either!! im such a kampong girl!)

We ordered a well-done, but it was just right at the perfection where it wasnt too chewy or bloody inside. Or call us amateurs for knowing nothing about the art of steak eating :P

Homemade walnut banana cake topped with banana and strawberry compote, vanilla creme-brulee and pulled sugar nest.

the sugar nest was so delicate I felt like I just couldnt put a spoon in to destroy it :P

Well, say only lar, I still cleared up the plate in the end -____-

My 22nd Burfday~

There you go! How I had my birthday celebrated! :D And Im officially 22. lalala~

BIRTHDAY EVE:

A quite celebration was planned. but last minute it was decided to change to a more "happening" place as the place we were supposed to go closes at 11.30pm:

The Santuary, The Curve.

the party goers: Elaine, Boyfriend, Pelly and the Soon-to-be-birthday girl. ;D

And to sit at a table with swings (instead of small tables where we have to stand) you need to atleast purchase a bottle (on a weekday)

Update: whats with clubs nowadays with weird offers to sit on nicer tables? at least 3 bottle to open for a weekend on that small table with swings???

THE DAY:

Boyfriend surprises me with a dozen of roses... :D

How did it happen??

Well.. I was with boyfriend the whole day but before dinner, boyfriend said he need to go to his dealer's place urgent and heck i let him.. we kinda had a minor arguement earlier and i was acting cool thus he left me at home.. :(

He came back soon after and we dressed up for dinner.. ;)

Just as we were in the car, boyfriend decided to play this song:

It a part of the chorus where the guy will give the girl red roses...

Well actually boyfriend always plays this song (his fav) and also sings it and I ALWAYS puts my hand up demanding "where is the rose?"

This time, he produces me 12 roses from the back of my seat... :D

HOW HAPPY!! i was really really touched i nearly cried! I swear!

Hahaha! Well I was wishing for a rose or something (fairytale lah) but i brushed it off thinking that i was thinking too much but this time it did happen!! :D *double yay!* thus the reason i was so touched i nearly cried :P

Boyfriend actually planned EVERYTHING. He ordered the rose the day before, actually plans it to be sent to the tower itself but delivery closes at 5pm.. (dinner was 8pm) haha.. so he "went to his dealer" to collect the roses, put the cd into the player and tune it to that song before switching it off and came home... -__-

He also booked the restaurant like TWO(2) weeks ago to make sure he got a place.. but when I was doubting where to go for my eve celebration, boyfriend had no choice but to tell me he booked the rotating restaurant.. :D And I jump there happily/suprisingly that my boyfriend such a romeo!!! :DD

*was just telling Uncle Jimmy the other day, who was planning to have a dinner here this coming December, that the restaurant quality went down like few years ago.. and i got a dinner with boyfriend here 2 days later.. :P*

Update: Well apart from the romantic dinner and good view.. (which i heart boyfriend for that special birthday dinner) the fact the food quality was totally not up to the standards! For first, in a restaurant 250 meters above, they are serving boring malay food (i like malay food) and cold plates of salads. I've actually tasted better prawns, better satays and tastier ice-creams on ground. For the price of near RM2o0 per head and a suck-up waitress, i say i do not recommend anyone to go there unless all they want to see is the view.. :-/

Update: You can see i actually had my plates fuller in this dinner than KL Tower. See? Food are totally better on ground! It also shows you im not a small eater wtf.. so im getting fatter! *gasp*

Since I was wearing so casually, I went back to the room to change and then meet Gyna up to go. (fyi club just at the lobby.. lol)
