Being 21

Is being 21 considered old? i mean... i dont feel the old thing like some other people but i've been seeing kids around... everywhere! gosh...

for example, was shopping around in the mall, so happen a good looking BOY passed by... first thought... wow cutie.. 2nd thought... he looks young... :( wahhhh.... i wanna cry by thinking of that!

another example was during the previous flight so happens the aisle i was on duty had this good looking korean... BOY... well i seldom get to see a cute looking korean, with good english speaking.. really... truly... and so happens this guy keep asking me stuff cos he's not happy with his seat... (economy class, full passenger flight.. tight space between seats) kept asking me if there's any empty seat, how to get a emergency exit seat and also coke... kids just loves coke aint they? (read previous blog entry-annoying passengers) ok so he's cool, good looking, good english speaking, im suspecting him an overseas student... but SADLY... he looks young...

well, you might say, guy can look young but he might be older than he looks, dont judge a book by its cover... bla bla bla.. but he really acts like one! and maybe you might think i should have ask him or talk to him... but i have many reason for not doing so... though i would love to... anyway.. after flight, i went to get my bag (so happen i check in my bag that day) and happen he was there to... he saw me passed by, gave me a nod... hmmm... *dreamy*

oh ok... the next thing that makes me think 21 is old, is i've been noticing a lot of young kids in friendster lately.. they would view my profile, or try to add me... i do remember that you are not allowed to join friendster last time if ur under 18... what happen to that rule? though i know... u can cheat on the age when you register... (i did that... but i was 17! not 14-15...) ok so you'd say why not make ur profile private if you dont like kids viewing them? but what's the use of beutifiying ur profile and uploading picture that take hours to upload cos malaysia internet line is so damn slow... i mean im complaining as im getting disapointed that kids are viewing me now, not some "potential" guy.. (and good looking one are normally taken nowadays).. call me desperate... i dont care! cos i prefer ADULTS viewing me.. not kiddos...

Hari Raya

This is one overly-due post... cos i got lazy... cos i had accidentally deleted some pretty pictures... ergh... i hate it.. it just turn my mood off... but shan't waste those pic that i dint accidentally delete...
It was raya and so happens that im in malaysia... woo hoo.. and so happen relatives from singapore decided to come over... So we went over to KL, my other uncle house and from there we went to this Taman Peranginan around Ampang area.. im not exactly sure cos i kept dosing off in the car...
It's a hill top with a cafe and middle east restaurant.. we decided to have our dinner there, and while waiting for the restaurant to open, we sat in the cafe for some drinks.. the cafe is actually a look out point, where you can see the whole KL. but sadly, it was a rainy day... view was not that satisfying...
I really did took a lot of pic, from the drink i had there (a 3 layer teh c, but the one i had in sarawak 2 years ago was of course waaaaaay better that this one) cousins pic, monkeys.. (yes monkeys are climbing around the trees...) and a very special, 3 butt pictures of my dad and 2 uncles (they are brothers) but...
I HAD JUST DELETED IT...
ACCIDENTALLY... ARGH!!!!

anyway... as it was so cloudy.. until around 6pm, where there's this nice view...

2 tone sky...

we headed off to the restaurant for dinner and just before that, i managed to...

take an ugly pic of myself... it was so cold i have to zip my sweater all the way up and also my messy-wind-blown-hair...

brother trying to cam-whore with my phone... thinks he looks good like that... UWWEEEK!!

Tortilla wrap thingy.. i did memorize the name.. but as time goes by... memory pun hilang sudah... haha... but it's really nice... and cheap...

spiced fried rice with chicken thing... name forgotten too...

One thing i noticed, ever since i started working, my memory life span just gone down the drain... an attempt to get something from somewhere, or a simple name of a food just got forgotten as soon as i turn my head from left to right... got it?

but as we finished our nice dinner, the sky got better and kl view was better with all its lights turned on...

wow... nice eh?

attempt to zoom klcc with my phone failed... blurry effect...

We then spent a night in Uncle's house and went to ipoh the next day.. HOT SPRING!! a 2 hour drive to a place called Sungkai, where this natural hot spring was made over to a beautiful recreational park...

welcome welcome! i think sungkai is the chinese pronunciation...sungai klah...

on the way in, a lizard posing and waiting for me to take its pic... nah... it was sun bathing there...
my itchy hand got a hibiscus from somewhere and decided to take a pic with daddy...

then the hibiscus somehow just got into my bro's hand

blurry "peace" sign from christine

"gimme 10" from uncle..

the hibiscus got back to me...

then went to uncle jimmy

finally ended up somewhere in the bushes...

It just got drizzling as we sat down so we shifted to a camp there.. illegally... hehe

that water was 40 degree celcius...

yeh... enjoying huh?

whose leg is that?! blocking me... :(

never mind.. i'll bite it off!

aunty susan and couz christine

we are trying on "natural SKII" hot weed from the water..

that.... doesn't look like hotweed... (=_=")

time to boil egg! egg mummy... some how its over crowded that day.. raya mah...

3/4 boiled egg is nice...

uncle oscar, the egg chef...

look at the amount of eggs! fight for the best spot!

mummy got annoyed of queuing, went to another hot spring source to boil the eggs...

ouch! hot...

careful... is it done?

and finally a pic of me with SKII..

It would be more enjoyable if there's no crowd... I nearly fought with another auntie for a spot near the springs... I was sitting there nicely, a table and 2 chairs...booking it while uncle jimmy went to get our stuff from another spot to here... i sat on 1 so everyone should know im BOOKING the whole seat. but this fat bitch just came over with her stuff and calling her family over.. I just said:

"excuse me, im here first" politely... she said

"the table is so big, you can share right? and the chair is empty, your stuff is not what."

DAMN IT...

i wanna say i have a big family and im here first and we are bringing our stuff here lo... but daddy was looking at me with a never-mind-let-them-sit look... sigh... if i could just argue with that bloody woman... just because i started with a polite "excuse me" she thinks she can bully me...

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BITCH!

Happy 21st Birthday to moi...!!!!!

updated 30th OCt...
hehe... sadly, i'm gonna celebrate it here in korea, with no one as all my friends are not here...
ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY!!
which is sad you know... once in a life time 21st birthday but you are celebrating it alone... but anyway... im not that sad, as birthday can be celebrated later right? So far there are a few people PROMISED to celebrate my birthday... but im not sure how true it is... we shall see later when im home...

Anyway.. so far i've got a present from mummy and daddy.. a pendant... its not any typical key which a 21 supposed to get... thats so... outdated... and typical... i got a flower pendant... which i did help to choose and also aunty susan, who came from singapore for Raya holiday... we happen to go shopping together...

my pendant... nice?

aunty also gave my a RM100 note... ask me to get whatever i want... but not simply spend it. hehehe... i wonder what should i buy...

the very-special-need-to-spend-wisely RM100

and though in the begining i really have no idea what i would like to have for my 21st, but after thinking over... i do have a few things i want but still cant afford... and prefer to get it as a gift than getting by my own... then it has more sentimental value right? am i right?

AM I RIGHT???!!

so my list of 21st birthday is:

  • A Purse. maybe from Coach, or Gucci.. or LV... i din't check out on Gucci, but did a little on Coach and LV... and i do like to get my hands on one of them... :D

  • Perfume. either DKNY red or green. it doesn't matter... but please not a 5ml minature... I also like Juicy Couture the pink one, and Dior Addict 2 the older edition... but seriously, if u are getting me one, why not just pay me to get one from the US. as it is cheaper there compared to any other places...

  • Ipod Shuffle. and a white one please. With Happy 21st Birthday Alison engraved to it... that will be GREAT... there's no cheaper in the US, so why not just get it online where you can engrave it?

  • Sony Vaio CR Pink laptop. this is the last option. i just thought 3 choices for u guys to choose is just to little choice.

  • OSIM leg massage. with job standing and walking around the cabin for more than 10 hours each flight, i do really need 1... unless someone willing to massage my smelly leg everytime... kekeke

well.. i do hope to get at least one of them... hehe... don't dissapoint me ok! - im greedy and specific dont i? like it or not, IT'S MY BLOG!!

Chicago

Trip to Chicago with Jacqueline...

6th October:

touched down, reach hotel. straight changed our clothes and hop onto another bus to a hypermarket nearby: Costco. Its something like Makro for Malaysians... they sell stuffs in bulks and cheap. Also varieties vitamins in big sizes.

We got some vitamins, and some food. a roasted chicken cost only USD 5(bout RM 20) and a 2kg seedless sweet grapes only for USD 6(bout RM 24)

washing the grapes
jaq and the chix
yummy!!!
yummy!! sorry its blurry... im busy eating...
yum yum!!
since its our first trip here and we hardly get friends on the same flight, the next day, we plan to go downtown. the silliest thing happen is that we have no idea where to go. we found a map in the magazine in our room but had no idea where is the place of interests...
so we decided to go down to the concierge early the next day to enquire. Just as we ask how to go downtown to front desk attendant A, attendent B, who was on the phone said:
"oh the van is going to the train station, the driver just left, so maybe you can catch the van if u run out now"
so without asking much more, we ran out to catch the van. we only manage to ask the driver which stop are we suppose to get down in town and how much is the train fare. and guess what. we dint even bring a map!
at the station, everything was quiet. its like this place is a real urban area. there's no ticket booth. no ticket machines, nothing. only a few people waitng for the train. no instruction nor maps saying how to go downtown. we were like oh no... did we make the right choice?
we manage to ask a lady which platform to wait for the train and where to get our ticket... she told us to wait for the train on platform 2 and we can get the ticket in the train by the conductors. and since its a weekend, we can get a weekend pass at USD 5. weekend pass means we can take the train as many times as we can to anywhere the train brings us to. phew..!
me and jaq cam whoring...

that empty station - right side

left side

the train

and it has 2 stories.

view of the roof of a station from the train. im sitting on the 2nd level

and i spotted a golf ball on the roof...

my weekend pass - with Halloween ad on it.

another thing is that in US, everyone is crazy with Halloween... i dint get the chance to take photos, but while on the way to the station there are houses heavily decorated with Halloween stuff.. and its only 6th October!!! and in Costco, the shopping mart, they are selling Halloween costumes, decors, candies with Halloween theme like a lollipop with skeleton stick, pumpkin looking chocolates, pumpkins, lights to put inside the pumpkins, make up kits...! the list goes on... i wanna get the lollipop, but as i said, they are selling in bulks, so i just dont have the space to put them in... anyway... back to photos...

chicago view from far...

after 45 minutes, we reach chicago station (union station) its a big station.. kinda like KL central as there were many platforms. As we got out, there were parades of people! we later found out that its a sunday and they were this marathon thing going on. so every road is blocked and thousands of people are cheering and running...

thousands and thousands of people...

me posing
we have no idea where to go so we ask the infomation counter for help. they told us to get a cab to go michigan avenue, a place most tourist will go and there are some places of interest there..
but UNFORTUNATELY... its a marathon day. no cab drivers or buses manage to move around the town. so we ended up WALKING 8 miles... to michgan avenue.

these are thier apartments.. look nice from down..

owh a gorgeous dog sunbathing in the middle of the BLOCKED road...

We passed by Sears tower (its kinda a famous tall tower) and went inside to have a look. sadly a trip up to the towers cost USD 13, which i prefer to use it for shopping than view looking, so we just went around the souvenirs shop. I got 2 magnets, and a HIDEOUS pink shirt. You see, its was such a hot day, but before we came and we check the weather, it said the weather in chicago is gonna be 16 celcious. So i brought all long sleeve warm shirt. But that sunday was so damn hot, as soon as i saw a nice sleeveless top and its not expensive, i just buy it. It was nice looking... but as i put it on, it wasnt nice on me. pardon me but its a souvenir shop, so there's no changing room to try it on before buying...

anyway... we also tried on some machine taking photos and print it into cubes. it cost me usd 5 per picture. i dint get to take my own pic, so i took jaq's instead...

you put in the money

select your choice

jaq selected this

pose!!

the picture printed. and you fold it into a box. sadly, i lost mine to no idea where... :(

we continued our journey to michigan avenue and there, we passed by some architecture university and colleges. also a architecture museum. we stop by at millenium park, an architectural park.. and managed to take photos. pardon me again for i ain't an architecture lover, i have no idea what are those structure sitting on the park, but just take pictures of them...

its a structure of metals together and there is a part which moves like a swing.. a heavy swing..

me

and at the opposite, the buildings are parallel with each other...

after a round in the park, we bought ourselves a hot dog and drinks and sat on the bench for some quick lunch. I bought some chips too.. and while eating it, i dropped 1 onto the floor..

pigeons trying to eat it. Pigeon 1

pigeon 2

those pigeon are just so cautious, they poke a little of my chip and jump away, then come back for another bite, jump away again.. then suddenly...

WHOOSH~!!!

a seagull came down and SNAP the whole thing away

i pitied the pigeons, so i threw another piece to the floor... the pigeon did the same thing... get a bite, jump away... etc... then... WHHOSH~!! a small bird just flew down, and snap the piece away to a nearby tree... i think the chip is bigger that that birdie's head! enough of useless pigeons, i had my lunch and cam whore...

ahhh.... see that thing behind? i have no idea what is that for, other that sun shading me...

the reflection from that egg thingy

me and that egg thingy and the HIDEOUS shirt

we continued our journey to a nearby shopping center a sales person told us from a shop (8 blocks away from millenium park)

sorry the traffic light blocked the name of it its Northdorm

spent a few hours in there, in a specific shop: Sephora. its a shop selling all cosmetic products, from anna sui, shisedo, stila, lancome to its own brand... i always get broke in that shop buying stuff over usd 100... SIGH... im not bragging... just telling how i cant stop myself at those stuff.. but its a lot cheaper to get cosmetics in US than malaysia, or any other places.. no idea why... when we came out, to catch a bus back to the train station, i saw this flower gown thing so just took a photo...

does it fit?

took another 45 minutes back, and when we reach the station, it was all quiet. a few boys were skate boarding there... we have to call the hotel to pick us up but we found no public phone in the station... PATHETIC!! so we have to use our own cell phone to get to the hotel...

well, end of my first trip to chicago...
